To promote the in-depth integration of industry, university and research, and support product and process upgrading, on the afternoon of September 25th, Tian Xinzhong, Chief Engineer, Assistant to the Chairman and General Manager of Xingtai Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xingtai Steel"), led a core technical team to Beijing to conduct a special technical exchange with the Central Iron & Steel Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "CISRI Research Institute")—China's largest comprehensive R&D institution in the metallurgical industry. Experts including Zeng Jiaqing, Deputy Chief Engineer of CISRI Research Institute, Yang Yong, Director of the Metallurgical Process Research Institute, and Ma Dangshen, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Special Steel Institute, attended the exchange activity.
The exchange was held in the Continuous Casting Building of the South Courtyard of CISRI Research Institute. Centering on Xingtai Steel's actual needs in product structure optimization and green low-carbon transformation, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions on key technical topics such as cold heading steel wire rods for ultra-high strength bolts, green electric furnace smelting technology, electroslag remelting purity control, and high-quality bearing steel wire rods.

This special exchange is a key part of Xingtai Steel's efforts to become a "unicorn" in China's industrial special steel wire rod and fastener steel industries during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, deepen technical cooperation, and build an open innovation system. Through precise docking with national-level teams in China's iron and steel research field, Xingtai Steel's special steel products will continue to improve in terms of green premiumization and providing customers with ultimate services. In the next step, taking this as a starting point, the two parties will actively explore comprehensive strategic cooperation in broader areas and deeper levels such as co-building R&D platforms, joint technical research, and talent training, to jointly promote technological progress and industrial upgrading of special steel materials.
The exchange activity was hosted by Director Yang Yong of CISRI Research Institute, with the participation of chief experts and research laboratory directors covering specialties such as green metallurgy, electrometallurgy, and steel rolling, ensuring the depth and breadth of the exchange. A number of business backbones from Xingtai Steel's Technology Center and Steelmaking Plant also attended the meeting to ensure precise docking.
